While I was on vacation I went to the lake several times. One of the trips began with a bit of stress. I was finally heading out with food and projects packed in the back. The country music was blaring, then this noise began.
I turned off the radio and it was definitely not a friendly noise. My first words were not nice because all I could think about was the cost of the repair bill to my car. Then I listened a bit more to try to identify where it was coming from. The noise had a vague familiarity about it – it sounded like a drill. I stopped the car and the noise continued. So I went around the back and there was my drill with something pressing on it and going a mile a minute.
That was an easy fix, just move the drill to the back seat. And say a little prayer to the vehicle gods for letting me off so easy.
May all your and my noises in a car be this simple!
We seem to be selling a lot of soup socks, why they are so important in the summer, I don’t know, but for the last while have been out of them. They are back in stock again.
In case you don’t know what a soup sock is, it is a cotton bag that holds the bones and veggies that are used to make soup broth. When you are done boiling the broth, you simply remove the sock. This is opposed to using cheese cloth and a colander and straining out the broth. Supposedly less messy.
See you at Scoop N’ Weigh: The Candy Store for Grown Ups!
P.S. We also have BBQ brushes back in stock. These are the wireless brushes used to clean your BBQ.
P.P.S. I hope you are enjoying the summer, even though it had a weak beginning, this is one of the best summers we have had in a while – lots of sun, only a few rainy days and very few mosquitoes (make sure you say this very quietly so you don’t jinx us).P.P.P.S. I was cruising Pinterest while waiting for an appointment one day and found these two “motivational” sayings you will like.
