Zucchini Carbonara

Dear Friends:

The recipe this month is Zucchini Carbonara.

This is a Jamie Oliver recipe, with changes. It is easy to make and very creamy, very fattening and very good. This is comfort food. And if you make it with spaghetti and the creaminess flies around while you twirl it, there is potential for it to be messy. What more could you want!It contains the basics in life: whipping cream, bacon and pasta with zucchini to round out the healthy bits.

Better still, it is good the next day for lunch. And will make your work colleagues jealous. I don’t know about your work place, but we always seem to be comparing lunches and bemoaning the pitiful ones. Not to mention adding chocolates treats to make up for the deficiencies.

The Halloween/Autumn things are arriving. There are new paper napkins.

New treat bags.

And new sprinkle mixes.

Can you ever get enough sprinkles?

See you at Scoop N’ Weigh, the Candy Store for Grownups!

P.S. There are only 15 puzzles left! Buy one, get one free, and we will haggle over the last one. This is my favourite.

P.P.S. Nothing else is new. We are waiting for the new orders, to restock and for Christmas. I ordered lots of cute Christmas and Hanukkah linens! There are no sneak peaks (pictures) until they get put out, November 1!

P.P.P.S. Some people are surprised we are still here, that is, the building is not sold. And they mention that the store looks empty. Well the store is empty, we got rid of lots of decorations and displays and all the stuff that didn’t sell. It was like you getting rid of those twenty wine glasses that never get used; a resizing of the store.

What remains are the things we sell all the time and continue to stock. So there is no fear of not getting you favourite spice, or grain. I am still running the store, just a smaller one.

I have ordered everything for Christmas/Hanukkah and even ordered the Valentine and Easter candy. Scoop N’ Weigh runs as a productive entity until further notice.
